I agree that many of the allegations will not go to court due to lack of evidence. That is not proof that women deliberately chose to have sex with fat ugly men for their own benefit. Nor is it acceptable that women had to prostitute themselves in order to further their careers. It is abuse however you look at it.

I think it's horrible too. But it's Weinstein's company. If a woman doesn't want to suck his dick for a part in his movie, then she shouldn't suck that dick. Don't suck the dick and then claim you were raped twenty years later and four of his movies under your belt.

The other thing that offends me here is how these women were either silent or actually attacked people who tried to expose Hollywood's creeps for YEARS. Now when it's convenient, they hit the wall and can no longer get the good parts, these women are crying rape.

If somebody rapes you, go to the police day one. I realize that sucks and it's difficult and all of that, but the liars have made this situation that horrible for women who were actually raped or assaulted.

It is everywhere and it has happened forever. The pastor who can destroy a woman's world if she refuses. The boss who can fire her so her kids lose their health insurance. The salon owner who can destroy someone's professional reputation by refusing references or badmouthing him. People you would never in a million years suspect of forcing someone into unwanted sex have taken advantage of their positions of trust to do so. There is no saintly geography, political persuasion, religion, or gender. A pig is a pig no matter how much s/he tries to cloak herself in the appearance of respectability. We'll never stop them from trying, but we can bring the hammer down when they attempt to force themselves on people trying to just live their lives.

If the chance of conviction is zero because it's your word against his and your career is over if you do what is the incentive to go to the police?
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

You realize it's not gendered, right? Are you blind to the fact that women do this too?

I agree that it sucks, but what sucks more is taking allegations as fact, condemning people without evidence, and completely ignoring half the perpetrators.

The impression I get from people like you is that I should believe women who accuse men and disbelieve men who accuse women, which is the very definition of sexism. I don't "believe her" just because she has a vagina any more than I believe him because he has a penis. It's really crazy that we have reduced truth and falsity to what genitalia people possess.

When somebody accuses another of a crime, we ought to take it seriously, investigate it, and if we can prove beyond a reasonable doubt the accused is guilty, then punish her or him. But if we can prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the accuser lied, we really need to start prosecuting such individuals. It's gotten out of hand.

I think we are about a half a dozen rape hoax hysterias beyond taking any of this seriously now.

Do you not see your own hypocrisy on this? You can't condemn allegations without evidence and at the same time use terms like ''rape hoax'' without any proof to back up your allegations. Lack of evidence for a sucessful conviction is not proof of a rape hoax.

This is not the first time you've missed a pronoun.

In which case!?

The Duke Lacrosse case? Proven rape hoax.

The Rolling Stone story? Proven rape hoax.

The woman who claimed Roy Moore tried to rape her in the 1970s and signed her yearbook? It's a rape hoax, dude. The story completely imploded when people proved the yearbook signature was a forgery.

I don't know about the women who claim Harvey Weinstein raped or assaulted them. I don't know one way or the other. I think he is a sleezy, and it wouldn't surprise me, but it wouldn't surprise me one bit either that Hollywood actresses fuck for parts in movies. I mean.. that's pretty much well known now.

It's still not acceptable that women have to perform sex acts on fat ugly men in order to advance their careers, stop blaming the victims... it is well known that that is the case.
Not every woman has the foresight to preserve semen stains on their clothing by keeping it in the freezer, that does not make them liars.

Schuman and Carter co-starred in the 2004 ABC Family film The Hollows. As Schuman tells it, she was invited to Carter’s Santa Monica apartment on an off day from shooting. Upon her arrival, Carter invited her to his office to listen to music he had been working on. It was at this point, according to Schuman, that Carter began kissing her. He then brought her into a bathroom and began performing oral sex on her. Schuman, who was a virgin at the time, told Carter she didn’t want to go any further.

“I told him to stop, but he didn’t,” Schuman recounts. “So I turned off the bathroom light so I wouldn’t see anything. He kept turning the light back on because he told me he wanted to look at me. I remember thinking at that point that maybe after this he will just stop, but he didn’t.”

To be clear, she made out with him, they had oral sex, and then she wanted to stop. But she didn't say so, she simply turned out the light, 'and waited for him to stop'. And that's rape.

Fucking circus-land.

Did you miss the part where she claims that she said to stop? I have it posted as part of the aricle that I posted, its in the last paragraph.
