After this investigation the Commandant found it appropriate to Level NO PUNISHMENT.
they showed "a lapse of awareness in how symbols and gestures can be misinterpreted and cause division," and they will receive instruction to address "their intent versus the impact of the photo."

Nearly a month later, the Navy has announced that the investigation is over and that "corrective measures" have been doled out to select members of the unit.

Lt. Jacqui Maxwell, a spokeswoman for Naval Special Warfare Group 2, said in a statement to The Washington Post that punitive actions were taken but declined to comment on the precise nature of the punishment or how many individuals were affected.

Law doesn't care about just what political party or candidates you are promoting. What the corrective measures are can differ.

Yeah, I'm good that they got punished. The 'West Point 16' should have been punished too. In this case, it appears that this guy is not merely supporting some faddish, at the moment thing. Severity of infraction will play a part. A one time incident is very different from a very long pattern of behavior.

Really? I'm seeing he's in 10th mountain right now. Those pics were from West Point.
Yes. He is an officer not enlisted. Learn the difference.

SSU is making shit up at this point. We laughed about it but every veteran on this forum was like, yeah, those guys are going to get hammered with the regs..

If that happened, it would be absolutely massive and sudden. They wouldn't advertise it with flags. Also, they would use the American flag as their symbol and probably try to frame themselves as the defenders of the Constitution.

I'm noticing Facebook profile pic updates with "I Stand" & the U.S. flag along the bottom.

Marine.

This time you caught me when I wasn't sipping my Coke Zero, so it didn't shoot out my nose when you called a Marine a soldier.

We bought up all the bottles of zero we could find when we realized they killed it and went with zero sugar.

It's like coke 2 all over again. Store manager down the road says sales are way down.
