It's a possibility that Mueller will simply conclude in lawyerly fashion everything that we already know.

And putting aside the idea that the IC is out there to get Trump, the last thing that the IC wants to hear would be that every damning accusation of Trump colluding with the Russians would be true.That would be a huge embarrasement for them. Because then the next thing would be, how could the IC miss this? Hence for the IC the "best" outcome, to cover their own asses (which is their likely agenda), would be that yeah, the Trump team was sloppy and should have known better when interacting with foreigners, but weren't totally on board with Putin. And Trump himself was clueless. Totally possible that it will go like that. Just like Irancontra didn't topple Reagan. Why he didn't know anything about it.

But we'll see.

I have the feeling that Mueller won't mess up like Comey did with these political hot-potatoe investigations, but try to get the most accurate picture about it. Hence it will take a while, likely perhaps only after the 2018 midterms will he be ready. And it could be dissappointing to both side. Likely damning to Trump in many places, yet not so bad that he couldn't wiggle out of it.

Mueller investigation; much ado about nothing, that's basically just an out, Mueller's not coming back with High Crimes & Misdemeanors, he's just there to give Congress political cover to climb down.

Meuller gives the all clear, carry on; done and done, GOP did their due dilligence, nothing to charge anybody with, moving on...

... anybody tries to bring it up in the future, they can just hold Mueller up as a shield, that's why they picked him, running against Mueller's reputation is a losers bet, Mueller is there to give the all clear, neutralizing this line of attack from the Democrats once and for all.
