I listened to them as well. Different albums for different markets makes their production a bit confusing. Was that the ? (Fragezeichen) album or the 99 Luftballons. I thought she sang ? in english on 99 luftballons.

I think it was both, depending on the market. In the US, the 99 Luftballons album had an English side and a Deutsch side. The English tracks were okay, but their good stuff was all in German. Both of those songs were on the b side of my 99 Luftballons album.

Despite whenever I make stupid social media lists and come up with all the bands that are the most important and influential to me after 24 years of introspection I've come to the conclusion that this album is literally perfect and my favorite ever.

Since you guys are on a serious retro kick, take the time to listen to this cover...

I think the production and mixing eclipses the original album version. Great use of technology to take Collins' unique sound even further, while retaining the original spirit.
