It's an interesting situation to have in an election. 68% of the votes had already been cast before this incident occurred. I've always supported early voting, and mail-in ballots, but am now wondering if there should be a way to modify your ballot up until the polls close, or allow voters to vote in person to override their mail-in ballot...

In Montana yes, but other places not so much. I think in some states they abuse the absentee ballot system and use that as early voting. Some slick assholes think they are committing a fast one by showing up at a polling place while on the absentee ballot but you either are going to be told GtFO or both your absentee ballot and provisional ballot will not be counted until weeks later if at all.

My wife never votes so I registered her as mail-in only. So I'll fill out her ballot and send it in, and I'll still go to the polling place in person for my votes.

Look what happened in the Michigan recount. The Detroit returns were like 150% of all eligible voters, went strong Clinton. It was so bad, they couldn't do anything with it in the recount.

Well, your wife cooperates its not like you register 5 other adults. In PA you are breaking the law, absentee ballots are for the severely disabled or those that are absent on election day. And your little system would likely get you caught.
