Thoughts on this? Idiotic or genius?

Goal is to save time - trying to get two meals done in one day.
Not a good idea, unless you're planning to make them both with the same sauce... which is also not a good idea.

It's an experiment. I'll report back. Worst that can happen is it won't work. Experimental cooking has led to some amazing discoveries.

Why use a slow cooker if you want to save time?

Common misconception. Kath (like all women) wants to save work - not "time".

Well, my time spent, not cooking hours.... I'm doing camping prep this week, so everything is a little nutz. I try to bring a pre-cooked meal for Friday, because we never get camp set up before dark, because we can't even leave home until the kid gets out of school.

So, I want to bring some ribs that we can just throw on the grill to heat up. The chicken is because I can't cook it tonight and if it doesn't get cooked, it has to get thrown out. It's been re-frozen once already.

Just a crazy week with too much thawed food and not enough time to prep it the normal way.

If you mean it was frozen then defrosted then frozen again still raw that is really bad practise. I would suggest letting the cats have that.

Sorry - bad typing. It was frozen. I thawed it. Now I have to cook it.

I’ll await your report. The recipe looks like it could be tasty. The picture looks like sh*t. Chicken benefit from the pork. Especially the breast.
