He pretty clearly inspired the fervor over fake news bullshit that's allowing total censorship of the internet. Because our gentle minds couldn't possibly be trusted to filter through it.

It's not even entirely his fault. We were collapsing under the weight of Stupid and corruption prior to this election, he's just the figurehead for the wave of Gauls breaching the walls now.

Maybe it was all inevitable, I don't know. I'm getting a lot more fatalistic as I age.

I do think Trump is a mastermind but he isn't a literal puppetmaster pulling the MSM and Obama's strings. Trump is the target of the Fake News meme/strategy/attack. He is not the creator of this attack on free speech. The government wants a way to control information and the MSM wants to regain their position as gatekeepers of information so they form an alliance for both of their benefits. This is happening relatively blatantly and dramatically because of Trump's victory but Trump is not the reason that the two groups are trying to curb free speech. The establishment is desperate and scared of Trump, they'll do anything they can to undermine him or even prevent him from being inagurated.
