... so I go on a tirade, I summon the manager, I have the manager and a bunch of Walmart employees following me around the store, as porters, to carry my groceries for me, then I make them carry it all to my car.
Next day I go back; all the grocery carts are unhooked all of a sudden. lol.
I do prefer Costco to Walmart, but Walmart still has its charms.
I take a short siesta overnight and come back this afternoon to find that Smits has double-tapped the Protectionism Zombie, and extolled the virtue of the Walmart and the Costco to you hillbillies beyond recovery, eh.
Woot! Y'all been canucked, eh.
I think I'll go to the Walmart on the way to happy hour, may need to lay in a supply of Mexican beer ASAP. The era of they took urr jobz is ending soon, I hear. :goteam: :drunk:

You can't seize power by being democratically elected tho. The United States chose him, we could say he "rose to power" or something.GrumpyCatFace wrote:By getting into office and using distraction and executive orders to work around our representatives.Dand wrote:How did a populist winning against a globalist "seize power from the people"?GrumpyCatFace wrote:I agree that it's an effective seizing of power from the people. We're in his world now, and that is not comforting.
But hey, he said some stuff about how we're going to be in charge, so that's great.
Has he even met with Congress yet?

Of course you can. But, if it makes some kind of pedantic difference, sure... He 'rose to power', and then began to 'seize power' from the public.Dand wrote:You can't seize power by being democratically elected tho. At this rate, his expansion of executive power is going to make Obama look like Ghandi.

Re: THE ERA OF TRUMP
Just because Trump is signing a bunch of executive orders out the gate doesn't mean he's taking power from the public, just the opposite he's giving it back by rolling back many of Obama's exec orders that took power from congress in the first place. You might want to wait until Trump starts overly expanding executive power with executive orders before you start criticizing his use of them. Crying wolf when there is no wolf will just lead to people not believing you when you cry wolf, if the wolf actually does show up sometime down the line no one will listen to you if you keep this shit up.GrumpyCatFace wrote:At this rate, his expansion of executive power is going to make Obama look like Ghandi.

I'd like to see Trump give back his war powers to Congress (the people), any chance of that happening?

I'd say we should focus on the good things Trump might actually do.

This may actually happen wether he wishes it or not.... hmmm but the house is fairly pro Trump. Now if it were up to the senate however.... well Lindsey Graham and McCain would have boots in Iran tmrw.pineapplemike wrote:I'd like to see Trump give back his war powers to Congress (the people), any chance of that happening?
