Re: Connecticut
It's like the GOP wants communism to take hold.

Because the massive and epic failings of crony capitalism are in their faces and communism isn’t. We are killing capitalism with our refusal to rein in its worst aspects.Zlaxer wrote: ↑Thu Dec 20, 2018 11:39 amWhy do people flock to government redistribution of wealth instead of using the government to break up monopolies? Why do people turn a blind eye to the massive and epic failings of leftism?
The articles I've been posting in this thread show CT is moving hard left....Communism is not a fringe position anymore....the people want it....I don't get it...do they not see what happened in Russia? the DPRK? Venezuela? Cuba? and the PRC? I don't understand it.

Agreed - but why is no one doing anything? Do the 0.1% really think they'll do better under Communism than Capitalism? Why are Americans just letting Communism grow?

The worst failings of Capitalism pail in comparison to the failings of Socialism...further, it takes longer for corruption to ruin a capitalist society (as resource distribution is spread out) vs Marxism, where the state runs everything....someone tell me why we're not headed for a dark age?

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Do what? We just elected one of the most corrupt crony capitalists in the country to lead us. Not enough people are interested in ethical capitalism. The 0.1% have no interest in giving up even the crumbs they don’t notice. The grapes of wrath are getting fatter on the vine for more people and those people are getting vocal.

Re: Connecticut
Hillary Clinton was the better choice. She has no desire to use her office to enrich herself. Many honest people run for public office and stay in it for decades and make hundreds of millions of dollars. That is perfectly reasonable. That's who I want in the White House.

Milspecs is 100% cool with it though she wouldn't admit it. She has not grasped the idea that in a communist takeover, her property would be confiscated immediately and she would be killed by the Bolshies, but she does like the idea as a way to get back at the White Christian Men who built this civilization.
