This is by far Nylander's best season to date

He's on pace for 35 goals and 35 assists for 70 points at 0.86 points per game.

This counts as a "breakout" season for Nylander, although he still has more to give.

That's the thing about Nylander, everybody know he has a higher ceiling and he hasn't reached it yet.

If by recently you mean the last two games.

Prior to that he had 8 goals and 16 points in 8 games, which is Wayne Gretzky in his prime pace.
I thought it was 3 without a goal but yeah he's not done much in the last 2.

The whole team is phoning this game in, including Fredo

It's not even conscious, it's subconscious.

Teams just can't get up for 82 straight games, this is the mid season blahs.

There's a sloppiness, a lack of attention to detail, they aren't playing hard, they are cruising.

They want to do it by fancy play, they don't feel like getting their noses dirty by driving the net hard.

Matthews ties it up with 12.8 second remaining.

That is clutch. That is what he gets the paid the big bucks for.

That's the new Matthews slap shot, he worked on it in the off season.

Fredo shit the bed in the shootout, couldn't stop a beach ball.

Loafs choke, Marner and Nylander over handling the puck.

Shame.
I'd have preferred another 5 mins of 3 on 3. That was excellent.
