WTF
James Comey
Tonight, I told a former colleague that I’m tired of being a Trump critic. He responded with encouraging words that apply to all of us: “Where you see wrong or inequality or injustice, speak out, because this is your country.” He’s right. Keep speaking out.

NYT shot down many claims in CNN’s story on the CIA’s asset in the Kremlin who was exfiltrated from Russia, reporting that the CIA wanted to extract him in 2016, not just 2017, & that Trump wasn’t who caused the alarm.

As much as the CNN story was debunked, as per usual, still a bit of a mystery why implicated folks are leaking so very much to so many media about such highly classified info. FWIW, previous Russia bombshells of bureaucratic misbehavior saw pre-emptive leak deluges such as this.

The purported high-level CIA source extracted from Russia is currently living in the DC area under his real name? Odd behavior for someone depicted as facing profound danger. Something very fishy about this story, as per usual with everything Russiagate

The IG is a douche bag criminal.

Yeah, he'll list a bunch of crimes of government officials, but he'll leave out the most serious and won't recommend prosecution.

A month late, but..

From my perspective, the media are the ones who control most of the deep state. The deep sate has to leak to the media because the corporate media is responsible for their big payoffs in the revolving door scheme in Washington, and because the corporate media acts as the king-maker for elected politicians, especially the presidency. Even when the revolving door leads deep staters to think tanks and corporate gigs not related to the media, it is the media that covers up the corruption and keeps the system running, and it is the media that profits from the advertisements and other business relationships with said corporations.

The reason the media freaked the fuck out after 2016 was that Trump was not supposed to be elected. Hillary was the one they setup for that role, and there was a fuck ton of capital locked into that outcome (not just with the flagrant corruption of the Clinton Foundation, but with countless foreign contracts and other deals that were made in the lead-up to her rigged election that never happened).

So now they get their deep state people to provide them with all the fake sources and fake allegations to keep the impeachment train on track. I don't think the impeachment farce is really about removing him from office so much as it is about derailing his campaign in the general election against Warren. They setup Warren as their fake progressive to somehow appease the core progressive base of the democratic party that really wants Bernie, but it's not clear anybody is buying it.

I think this election cycle we will see the democrats revolt like we saw the republican voters revolt from the establishment in 2016. The corporate media still wields quite a lot of power based on the sheer number of dumbasses that actually believe this shit they broadcast (the fake news, fake polls, fake everything), but they don't have anything near the control they had even in 2012. \

I almost wonder if you have to be Gen X or older to see it. I don't think millennials really appreciate how much control the MSM had over America before the Internet exploded. It used to be that everybody's opinions were formed by watching television "news" and reading newspapers. If you fell outside the kind of opinions read in those sources, then you were by definition a kook. Now we are seeing a reversal where people with maybe a little bit above average intelligence realize the entire MSM project is fake news and consider anybody who believes this total horseshit to be a fucking idiot (aka NPC).

To really push this point home, consider the fact that the Enlightenment revolution, and the people who seized political power through democracy and the violent overthrow of the older aristocratic order were predominantly "journalists". The revolutions were fueled by the printing press. The hit lists in the French Revolution were printed in the newspapers. Indeed, the very term enemy of the people was coined by journalists who identified folks who needed to be murdered and printed the names not very differently than how CNN goes after random "deplorables" to create a climate of fear and self-censorship.

FBI Agent Faulted In FISA Report For ‘Significant’ Errors Has Finally Been Identified
https://dailycaller.com/2020/02/24/case ... omma-fisa/

An FBI agent faulted for some of the most significant problems laid out in the Justice Department’s inspector general report on FISA abuse against a Trump campaign associate has been identified.

The New York Times, citing people familiar with the FBI’s Russia probe, identified Stephen A. Somma, a counterintelligence investigator who works out of the bureau’s New York field office, as “Case Agent 1” from the inspector general’s (IG) report.

The IG blasted the FBI for its handling of information used to obtain four surveillance orders against Carter Page, a former Trump campaign aide.

“Case Agent 1” is singled in the report as being “primarily responsible for some of the most significant errors and omissions in the FISA applications.”

Somma was involved in multiple aspects of Crossfire Hurricane, the FBI counterintelligence investigation of the Trump campaign. (RELATED: FBI Agent Who Played ‘Significant’ Role In Surveillance Abuse Wore Several Hats In Trump Probe)

According to the IG report, he was the FBI agent who initially sought a surveillance warrant against Page. Somma pushed for a FISA warrant “almost immediately” after the FBI opened Crossfire Hurricane on July 31, 2016, the IG said.

Somma’s initial request was rejected, but FBI lawyers later approved seeking a FISA warrant on Page after the bureau received information from former British spy Christopher Steele. In his dossier, Steele alleged that Page was a key player in the Trump campaign’s “well-developed conspiracy of cooperation” with the Russian government to influence the 2016 election.

The IG report said the FBI failed to verify the allegations about Page before using Steele’s information in FISA applications. The special counsel’s investigation undercut the idea that Page or anyone on the Trump team worked with Russians.

Somma was in charge of verifying the accuracy of information included in the FISA applications. He was also the FBI handler for Stefan Halper, a former Cambridge professor who met with and secretly recorded Trump campaign aides Carter Page, Sam Clovis and George Papadopoulos.

The IG report said Somma failed to disclose potentially exculpatory information that Page and Papadopoulos told Halper. He also failed to disclose that the CIA told him on Aug. 15, 2016, that Page had been an “operational contact” for the agency years earlier.

Perhaps Somma’s most egregious omission deals with an interview he conducted in January 2017 with Steele’s primary source for information in the dossier.

According to the IG report, the Steele source, referred to as “Primary Sub-Source,” told FBI agents that Steele misrepresented information attributed to him in the dossier, including about Page. The FBI and Justice Department failed to disclose the information in its final two applications for FISA orders on Page.

Largely because of the omission, the Justice Department has deemed the two orders to be invalid.

The IG report also said that “Case Agent 1” took part in five interviews with Page in March 2017.

The report says that Somma became Halper’s handler in 2011 after the FBI temporarily terminated its relationship with the informant over concerns about his interactions with a counterintelligence target.

Months after Somma began working with Halper, the FBI agent visited Cambridge in November 2011 to speak at a seminar about the FBI’s investigation into a Russian spy ring known as “The Illegals.”

The FBI has declined comment on Somma.

So, how did G2 get ahold of five files from John Podesta’s Gmail account? That’s what Adam Carter wants everyone to start asking.
