People like to forget that, because they prefer their fantasies of the man to the reality.
He's no friend of the 2nd Amendment.
Or 1st for that matter.
Plus he went quisling against the second amendment right in the election campaign, right after the last shooting at the nightclub in Florida, I can even give the date, it was Wednesday, June 15th, 2016. Suddenly Trump and the NRA went all cuckoo with the No Fly List No Second Amendment Rights Plan.

From my post on this very thread at 8:45am yesterday. Top of page 8
Do not be surprised if trump signs some kind of gun ban in the near future. It would not shock me in the least bit.
Oh I don't believe for a minute that there are going to be any changes in the law. All he said was that he was going to talk about it in the future.
If Obama couldn't make a difference when he was completely invested in gun control measures then Trump, who has changed his mind several times in the past, isn't going to achieve anything.
Should piss off a few rednecks though.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Gun control becomes another chip on the table. Art of the Deal, baby.

Well, whatever, he picked Gorsuch, so that's all he needed to do to defend the 2nd Amendment for now, ol' Gorsuch will shoot all of Trump's kooky gun control nonsense down, just like he will with the Democrats kooky gun control nonsense.

Gorsuch is cray-cray for the letter of the constitution, no ifs ands or buts, no matter how many puppies and kittens have to die.

Missing the word "again" in that sentence.

Sure I'll amend it. Point out where you think he's cucked already.

When he joined Hillary in voicing support for restricting the 2nd on the basis of being on an arbitrary watchlist.

When he decided NATO wasn't really obsolete.

When he decided NAFTA wasn't all that bad afterall, maybe just a little tweaking to make it more like the TPP, eh?

He hasn't even been in for a year yet.
At this rate he's going to have to make a whole new slew of promises to break, or risk having broken all his promises midway through his term.

So he said something on the campaign trail that hasn't materialized.

He didn't scrap NATO.

He renegotiated NAFTA like he said he would and it's not finalized but somehow it's just like TPP which is gone.

Ok bud

Don't forget the F-35;

"This program is a disaster, this will have to be fixed or I'll cancel this plane!"

Lockheed Martin changes nothing,

"The F-35 is tremendous, wtf I love the F-35 naow!"
