... During the new episode of The Simpsons, the characters of Marge and Lisa indirectly discuss the controversy around the characterisation.

In the scene, Marge changes a bedtime story to make it more politically correct, but her daughter objects. A distressed Marge then asks her daughter what she is supposed to do.

Lisa turns to the camera and says: "It's hard to say. Something that started a long time ago decades ago, that was applauded and was inoffensive, is now politically incorrect. What can you do?"

She then signals to a photograph of Apu by on her bedside, which is signed: "Don't have a cow - Apu"....

Social Justice Warriors turn their sights on the institutional oppression mechanism known as “The Simpsons”.

Such bravery.

I feel very oppressed by yellow privilege whenever I am told to "eat [Bart's] shorts." Some real toxic, gastro-normative, cis-masculinity from the entitled child of the middle class. :naughty:

This one dude had it right:
Every character is a stereotype - Homer is an overweight, beer-drinking, dumb American, Marge is a housewife, Bart is a stereotypical boy, Lisa is a stereotypical girl, Mr. Burns is a white, old, money obsessed CEO, Cheif Wiggium is an overweight, donut-eating lazy cop etc.
As usual, in their panicked rush to virtue signal the loudest, the SJWs missed the obvious.

To satisfy the SJW's Homer and Marge have to split up. Homer needs to pay for his oppressiveness, Marge will need to find a Lesbian to come into the household, Bart and Lisa should explore their sexuality and try out different genders, etc.

And yet, still no mention of the problematic cultural appropriation of El Barto saying 'ay caramba' all the time.

... signs that your acting career is in the toilet and you may have a little too much free time on your hands.

Like 99.9% of the rest of the media watching world thinks rapist Cosby should be jailed ... but none of us found the time to run naked at him.

Actual Facebook post from a guy I grew up with

1. Starbucks' employees demonstrate racist behavior, because American culture is racist. It's bigger than Starbucks.
2. Coffee comes from Africa. Just like everything else originating from Africa or created by African people corporate America ruins it by perpetuating the idea that coffee needs a bunch of unnecessary additions to make it taste "good."
3. There are tons of black owned cafes, coffee farms and roasting companies that are owned by African people that you can support instead of giving your money to that spot that sells you mediocre roasts that were brewed HOURS before you got there and will profile you based on your skin color.
4. If white people aren't willing to be our allies, they are declaring themselves as our enemies. There's no neutrality when it comes to fighting white supremacy.
