Back in ye olden days, I imagine you could prolly just smack the bar wench around for watering down ye olde tyme ale too much.

A mere 10% of froth on each pint would equate to around £40 per keg that the bar person is stealing from his customers and many of them wouldn't notice. It's like having dodgy scales at the greengrocer or petrol pumps that only give you 9 litres for every 10 you buy.
