I don't see a problem here. Let the morons fight it out, then clean up the mess and charge the instigators. The Conservative wrote:You can't fix stupid.Fife wrote:Here's the same unanswered (essentially unasked) question from the Battle of Berkeley:
GOOD QUESTION: Where were the police and National Guard at the Charlottesville race riot?
Law enforcement was on hand at the dueling demonstrations on Saturday, decked out in riot gear and looking prepared for the worst. Except they weren’t allowed to do their job. Police on the scene were reported to have been ordered to “not intervene until given command to do so,” according to the ACLU. That kept them from suppressing the numerous scuffles that broke out.
When police were ordered to disperse the alt-right rally, that act directed the white nationalists into the antifa demonstrators, leading to further street brawls. Police didn’t seem to try to get in between the two groups or suppress the fights.

I don't think anyone has a clear idea of what the hell GamerGate was about. The Conservative wrote:Obviously not.jediuser598 wrote:I've visited and or posted on kotaku in action nearly every day since it started in 2014. I know more about the movement than anyone here. The Conservative wrote:

Just like in Seattle, when the police isn't ready for a riot or the command structure isn't working, then you get a riot.GrumpyCatFace wrote:I don't see a problem here. It usually goes so that when some neonazi idiots have their march, they just attract the extreme-left rioters like fresh shit attracts flies. Oh those flies want to get into that shit.
Riot control 1.0 solution: far more police around than both groups can muster.

Re: Unite the Right
I find it funny that people still believe this. When Reddit started banning sub reddits kia got an influx of people from those subreddits. Why? Because KIA was one of the only places that allow freedom of speech and aren't over zealous on the moderation. You say they are all about hate? Look at this forum, people are celebrating that dodge charger ramming that crowd. I guess we're all alt right nazis now, by your logic. Is Christina Hoff Sommers alt-right as well? She speaks highly of gamergate.Cid wrote:Dudebro I hate to tell you this, but Alt-righties sometimes masturbate to the same porn as gamergaters. Its like watching unsubbed hentai, you might not be getting the full experience, but the end result is the same.
I got no opinion on it, I thought the doxing and the death threats were fucking stupid, as I think ANY DEATH THREATS OR DOXING IS STUPID, but then I'm consistent with my stance on civilization being about not being violent pussies where you can rent a tape about fictional violent pussies to get off to under your Stoner autographed AR-15 while being stoned.
I guess taking a stand against the influx of sjw into your culture makes one a mysoginist racist, when in fact most of gamergate is none of that.
You know it amazes me, how on one side I can be called a nambi pamby hipster liberal faggot (combining insults) while on the other side I'm called a racist mysoginist altrighter. Lol.

Re: Unite the Right
Bullshit.
This wasn't a mistake or incompetence. They deliberately funneled people into the rioters. This was deliberate.
Just like they did in Berkeley.
Just like democrats did in the 1960s too.
There are federal civil rights laws against this for a reason.

As usual when even demonstrably wrong, the conservative charges forward anyways.
