Because they are replacing existing sections of the wall which were in need of repair or complete replacement. Would you rather they just added on to the existing wall, leaving gaps in the construction that way?Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2020 9:30 amLet's be real here. You are using "partially constructed" as a euphemism for only 11 miles of new wall. I do not see how 11 miles of wall is going to make a bit of difference. Can you explain to me how that is supposed to change anything?Xenophon wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2020 9:29 amYou're saying Partially constructed wall = complete failureSpeaker to Animals wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2020 9:27 am
The what? What are you even babbling about now?
There is 11 miles of new border wall. Is that going to stop people from invading our borders? Probably not. Seems like a failure to me. It's sad too considering most Americans want the borders controlled.
I'm saying Partially constructed wall = progress

I'd like to see it very difficult for illegals to invade our country. 11 miles of wall literally does nothing. They can walk around it. Right? Can you not walk 11 miles?

So no more wall is going to be built? Just this final 11 miles?Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2020 10:01 amI would rather we see the wall that was promised.Xenophon wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2020 9:31 amBecause they are replacing existing sections of the wall which were in need of repair or complete replacement. I don't know. Is more wall going to be built? We seem to have been sitting at next to no new wall for years now.Xenophon wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2020 10:03 amSo no more wall is going to be built? Would you prefer the existing wall to have been kept in place in favor of more length?Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2020 10:09 amI don't know. Is more wall going to be built? When you buy a Lego set, on the box is a representation of what it will look like once you have built it. Do you have to assemble the Legos together in order to make that representation, or does it fall out of the box completely built?

Does it take you four years to built less than 1% of the lego set?Xenophon wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2020 10:15 amMe too. Let me phrase this a different way:Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2020 10:12 amI would prefer the entire border wall being built.

I have no other model to look at that tells me otherwise. It seems like a nation-spanning border would take a long time to build, especially after having the governmental approval process constantly undermined by your political opponents.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2020 10:17 amDoes it take you four years to built less than 1% of the lego set?Xenophon wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2020 10:15 amMe too. It'd be like trying to build the Millennium Falcon while your butthole cousin keeps throwing pieces behind the couch.

Well, based on the legislation he signed over a year ago, we cannot have a border wall. The democrat-controlled areas of the border can veto any wall there.Xenophon wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2020 10:19 amI have no other model to look at that tells me otherwise.
