It's gonna be a fun ride.
Trump really is a bad Hitler, if anything the groups rioting against him are acting more like Hitler... oh wait...I remember seeing something, here we go:C-Mag wrote:Hmmmmmmmmmm...... well, I'm going to afford them the same slack I give Trump. They get a little honeymoon period to get their shit together and try and improve the country. They have started out pretty rough with all the violence. I have hope for them.
That said, I do believe the bulk of the ferver directed at the new Furheris because Trump is not a Progressive and they know it, this makes him dangerous to the entire establishment. This is why you see GOP folks willing to go after Trump too.
It's gonna be a fun ride.
Agreed, he still hasn't rolled out the Brown Shirts he hasn't had a Reichstag Fire to get rid of Congress and he hasn't managed to Coopt the Media or Film to push his propaganda. C'mon Trump get with it.The Conservative wrote:

Well we can thank the last two presidents for that...C-Mag wrote:Agreed, he still hasn't rolled out the Brown Shirts he hasn't had a Reichstag Fire to get rid of Congress and he hasn't managed to Coopt the Media or Film to push his propaganda. C'mon Trump get with it.The Conservative wrote:

The last two didn't help, but it's been going on for a long, long time. And Dan has talked about how there is no return to normalcy after periods of the threat. That said, I get your meaning. I'm a broken record, but as your meme says both parties are concerned, what it doesn't say is that both parties are Progs. The Conservative wrote:Well we can thank the last two presidents for that...C-Mag wrote:Agreed, he still hasn't rolled out the Brown Shirts he hasn't had a Reichstag Fire to get rid of Congress and he hasn't managed to Coopt the Media or Film to push his propaganda. This is how I see it, too. But I think what all of us need to remain focused on is how Congress can re-establish its role as a co-equal branch of gov't. Because gov't. by executive order is inherently unstable and a threat to our long-term viability as a nation. The Conservative wrote: It's not that they are doing it because they don't like where the government is going, they are doing it because they don't believe Trump should be president, and they lost the ability to have power.
The government is the product of their party's beliefs, now that they lost said power to the another party they are angry that the other party is using the power they allowed the last president and congress to have to their whims... so instead of saying, "live with it" they have to live with it, and they don't like it.
What the fuck, Carlus? Are you seriously strawmanning me as as saying that those militias are "awesome"? Read my damned post again, Carlus. Who the fuck do you think I am?C-Mag wrote:BjornP wrote:Knights for Socialism? Oh my. We really are going off the deep end...
That they want to learn how to fight is a good thing in of itself. Good thing for anyone to learn. But their motive for doing so, the assumption of theirs that everyone to the right of an average Democrat is "out to get them", beat them (with flagpoles?) because "The" Right is all made up of Nazis....?
Just another example of a culture of paranoia, strawmanning and blowing differences out of proportion. It apparantly takes very little political difference of opinion to become "The Evil Bad Guys" these days.
Wow, radical college student militias, Awesome !
Yes it is, but if Trump does what he said he was going to do, which is start to give the power back to the people... I think we are going to start seeing a balance of power re-established in a few years time ultimately.de officiis wrote:This is how I see it, too.
