For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

The Kurds are communists, they were allies of convenience, enemies of a now defeated enemy, who has now lost it's utility as an ally. America never pledged to play referee forever to keep the Turks and Kurds from fighting each other. It's not abandoning an ally, siding with the Kurds would be abandoing an ally, the Kurds don't even have a nation state, the Turks do. Fuck off with your concern trolling about abandoning "allies".Montegriffo wrote: ↑Mon Oct 14, 2019 10:51 amAll the peaceniks who think it's ok to abandon your allies and make foreign policy over the phone with brutal dictators.

They were only allies because they were fighting ISIS. Don't need them anymore, certainly when they are about to start fighting a much more important ally of America's than they ever were. You fronting like it's bad idea to no longer back the Kurds when America shouldn't be in Syria is maybe the clearest example of your Trump Derangement Syndrome yet. Claiming to want peace while attacking America for not being bigger warmongers is pretty rich.

You're buying the line about ISIS being defeated?
It's going to be a shock when they come back and bite you in the ass.

Kurds have turned to Russia unwillingly and Assad controls their region now. Turkey will get blasted if they try anything against them. Turkey's economy will be in shambles by the end of the week either way.

Mister Ivan is contained, the Kremlin is at the limit of its power projection with nowhere to go.
