FW190 was vastly superior to Spitfire, the Germans ran out of pilots, everybody was shooting them down in 45' because they were sending up kids with barely any training.
This is the best fighter the RAF had in WWII right here;
Republic P-47D, which the RAF flew out of India as the Thunderbolt Mk II
