See, that's the stuff that warms my heart. I hope she accepts, simply for the sake of kids of that age being able to see that anything can be discussed.

Bearing in mind that, to the contemporary left, "discussion" means they throw a tantrum and berate you, followed by you apologizing to them and submitting to their childish demands.

I have some conflicting feelings on this.

My initial instincts are that parents job is to provide for basic needs, protect and build their kids into being productive adults. Any parents that put their kids out there like this are fucking up.

However, historically humans at the age of 16 were pretty much adults. As I'm against how our society keeps pushing back the age of responsibility of young adults, I'm fine with whatever.

I view Greta like a Jon Benet Ramsey, put out there by parents and handlers to gain fame and fortune by using their kids.
This kid will hopefully learn that it takes more than just a scolding speech for the world to change its consumption patterns.

I can follow Hastur's antipathy against the "cult", but I feel that way about anyone who puts too much faith in savior figures, or who thinks that an issue needs "a face". Just think how distracted people have become by Trump's antics to rationally discuss immigration reform in the US. Issues should never have a "face". Too vulnerable to guilt by association bullshit.
I agree. When you make someone your savior and put them on a pedestal, they can do no wrong. Some have done it with BHO, others with Trump, still others look to Hogg and Thuneburg. Having saviors is directly contradictory toward a philosophy of personal Liberty and self sufficiency.

Not only should issues not have faces, they shouldn't be based on emotions. Look at all the big news issues out of the US in the last few years, the press is demanding we deal with the issues emotionally. It's for the children. We are not only destroying the environment, but also our childrens future. Guns are killing children. Border policy is hurting children.

I'll pass.

Soros is recycling Nazi propaganda imagery. It's an effective tool judging by the complete morons who fall inline to her tantrum-fueled proclamations. Personally, I think we need to have a mass strategy whereyby we refuse to engage in this debate as if it's about some child, but just address whatever George Soros is trying to promote and whether it's rational, while questioning it's merit if he has to use child human shields to propagate it. For instance, when somebody asks you what you think about this little girl, don't take the bait but, rather, proceed to question George Soros' motives and the junk science he seeks to perpetuate through the tantrums of a child.

It really is, the lefties are going to burn in a fire of their own making.

Their "solution" is a messianic cult which simply calls for action, action, action, without direction.

The Fascists were socialists who became hypernationalist in the wake of the catastrophic defeats in the Great War.

The Nazis took it one step further, they were the first Green Party.

It's Malthusian; people are the problem.

There's only one place for that to go.
