I would like Dan to do an episode where he discusses how crazy it would have been to be a soldier in WW1. Like where he discusses how those shells created craters in the ground and how it was really loud when they exploded. I'm not sure if he discussed how the landscape got destroyed during the shelling of certain areas.

I seem to recall he was quite explicit in the WW1 series. Describing how craters would turn into lakes of mud that would suck down soldiers even as their buddies tried to pull them out, or had to leave them screaming when they couldn't.
