Yeah, in hindsight the casting was a little ironic. John Wayne was a big softy who played hard asses. Jimmy Stewart was a bad ass bomber pilot who played softies.Fife wrote: Thu Mar 07, 2019 6:14 pm I may skip some reading tonight and throw in The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance.
Jimmy was a bad ass, and the Duke knew it. Bet dat.

I seem to recall he was quite explicit in the WW1 series. Describing how craters would turn into lakes of mud that would suck down soldiers even as their buddies tried to pull them out, or had to leave them screaming when they couldn't.heydaralon wrote: Wed Mar 06, 2019 6:21 pm I would like Dan to do an episode where he discusses how crazy it would have been to be a soldier in WW1. Like where he discusses how those shells created craters in the ground and how it was really loud when they exploded. I'm not sure if he discussed how the landscape got destroyed during the shelling of certain areas.
We are only accustomed to dealing with like twenty online personas at a time so when we only have about ten people some people have to be strawmanned in order to advance our same relative go nowhere nonsense positions. -TheReal_ND
