Angels in Heaven: saints.
Angels in Hell: not saints.
Saint just means sanctified, which means you belong in Heaven.

Re: Catholic Questions/Issues
Filled with the Holy Spirit, Jesus returned from the Jordan
and was led by the Spirit into the desert for forty days,
to be tempted by the devil.
He ate nothing during those days,
and when they were over he was hungry.
The devil said to him,
“If you are the Son of God,
command this stone to become bread.
Catholics, what are you doing for Lent, if anything ?

Re: Catholic Questions/Issues
My theory is this:
For years now, the only time I have ever eaten fish was on a Friday. But I eat chicken and beef almost every day throughout the year. Giving up chicken and beef just on Fridays for a month and a half is not really much of a sacrifice. But if I give up fish on Fridays instead, then I am basically giving up fish entirely. So what is the greater sacrifice?

I have doubts about Jesus wanting your sacrifices.
At least compared to your mercy.
Just some doubts I have.

Then Jesus said to his disciples, If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow me.Fife wrote: Sun Mar 10, 2019 1:36 pm I have doubts about Jesus wanting your sacrifices.

No doubt.
My doubts are about how selfish living squares with sacrifice vs mercy.
What's more selfish than hatred of mercy?

I was trying to quit day drinking for Lent as well as some minor fasting. I'm still going to keep trying.

No I'm sure Jesus wants us all to give in to indulgence. I know it's so because the Bible told me so.Fife wrote: Sun Mar 10, 2019 1:36 pm I have doubts about Jesus wanting your sacrifices.
