“Down with the Patriarchy”

“Good news, you don’t live in one. Next issue”
I’ll try that at the next LOWV debate.
LOWV? What’s that?

If they want to insist they they truly do live in a Ptriarchy, forbid the females from speaking for the remainder of the event. If you’re ignored, simply shrug and mutter “Not much of a Patriarchy”

I mean ... clearly the women aren’t largely excluded from power if men can’t silence them. The Saudi Arabians have a Patriarchy, and they’re just now letting women drive. That’s patriarchy. Political positions not being broken along gender lines 50/50 is not the definition of patriarchy.

You should tell them we need both. The Patriarchy has served us well. Why destroy something that works? We need to strengthen the Matriarchy so we achieve a balance.

In tribal societies all across the world, you can see the people organized along these lines. There is an outer circle where mostly men perform the tasks required to feed the tribe and keep it safe. It's a patriarchic world were truth and ability are the highest values. The ability to accomplish what they set out to do, working together as a team, is the ideal.

There is also the inner circle, where the matriarch rules. It's mostly the women in the village. They take care of children and control social hierarchies. Who is worth anything and gets to breed. They talk a lot and it doesn't have to be the truth. It's all about stories. Who is built up and who gets torn down. The matriarchy is the great selector.

The matriarchy thinks in cycles. The patriarchy is more linear, focused on a goal.

If the outer circle gets too powerful you end up with the women locked up behind walls and veils like chattel. If the outer circle gets too weak you end up with a society without aim, truth or ideals. Like Gypsies, Pikies or Roma. Not striving for anything.

I disagree with him on the inner circle becoming weak in Western Civilization. The inner circle is far too strong.

It is true that older women are powerless to younger women, but that is normal. Value in the inner circle is tied to fertility and always has been, since controlling access to sex and reproduction is the source of their soft power.

Women in our societies are trying to accomplish the analog to what Muslim men accomplished: total subjugation of the opposite sex and their source of power.

For instance, look at what just happened in the US Senate. An obvious liar was taken as self-evident "credible" on account of being a woman while numerous male testimonies were assumed not credible. That is exactly what happens in Muslim nations but in reverse: women's testimony is worthless compared to that of a man.

Another example: we saw on numerous occasions in this forum where male rapists of teenaged boys were rightly reviled, but when attractive female teachers raped boys of the same ages those same posters decided the victims wanted it. That is exactly what happens in Muslim nations but in reverse: when Muslim men rape women it is often excused because the woman's appearance or her status of having no chaperone invited his lust, and therefore she was to blame (she wanted it).

It is very difficult to shake people out of the indoctrination that led to this. I believe it is more difficult to help Western men than Muslim women.

He doesn't say the inner circle is too weak. He says it's out of control because of the absence of Matriarchs. It's run by forever young narcissistic girls and there's no one around to put them in their place.
It all started to go wrong with the worship of youth culture in the west. Why worship the young? They know jack shit about life and responsibilities. The Patriarchy somehow survived in places like the military, industry, and business. The Matriarchy went down in flames.

Pssst. Martin isn't using the actual definitions of matriarchy & patriarchy to make his point. Something about freedom versus Marxism, not women versus men being in charge.

Young women have always dominated the inner circle. Their power derives from fertility. Older women only have power insomuch as the outer circle affords. A matriarch's power derives from the patriarchy that respects her.

Think about it. How did a matriarch operate? She couldn't act like a fragile little girl to elicit protection from men. She couldn't elicit our compliance using her sexual appeal. She had to use her mind, ideas, and arguments. What is more, respect was only sustained based on her making effective decisions. Every society has stories about crazy old women everybody has to deal with. Matriarch's had to earn their place.

But how do they do that now with the outer circle totally devistated and dominated by young women?

They do not.

My contention is that, if we are going mix it up in inner and outer circle, a few things have to occur:

1. Women have to grow up and start acting like adults rather than constantly bitching about imagined problems. They need to stop demanding men fix their problems too. Men have far worse problems than women and you don't see us demanding women fix that shit. Think about that.

2. Women have to open up the inner circle to men, which they currently refuse to do. They do not even see the inner circle for what it is because they take it for granted.

3. Most importantly: men will need to treat women no differently than they treat men. Ladies: gender equality means you should be treated like men are treated. You need to understand what that means, because I am sure most of you are not going to enjoy it.

It's not men vs women. More masculine vs feminine. Women should be welcome in the outer circle as long as they don't drag the inner circle values along with them and vice versa. You are right that a lot of the problems comes from the mixing up of the circles. That is what Jordan Peterson touches on when he talks about makeup and high heels in the mixed workplace. We are confused and every part of society is getting sexualized. There are no winners here.
