So I heard that this movie was total shit by hardcore Star Wars fans. Is this true or what? What the hell is going on (and yeah, I am going to see it in a day or two- I will not go on opening night and I have heard that Disney is forcing theaters across America to play it for at least 4 weeks. Apparently the new director just threw out the trajectory that JJ Abrams was on, JJ Abrams went for pure Star Wars nostalgia, just give the Star Wars Fanbois what they want, same old same old all over again, whereas the new director has chucked all that out and is taking the series in a new direction.

Based on what I've read about it, not going to post spoilers but I have read the plotline, it sounds pretty good actually, but if you are Star Wars fanboi who just wants the same old same old plotline repeated over and over again, then you might not like it.

Star Wars sacred cows are slaughtered, and fanbois never like that sort of thing, but I'm all for it, that's actually making me want to see it now.

Snoke was lame, he's just a lame ass repeat of Palpaltine, and badly done, Snoke just made me roll my eyes, I'm glad that Snoke was chucked under the bus. I like the direction they took Luke Skywalker, I think that makes it interesting too.

I'm not a fanboi, blow the sacred cows up, please do. No interest in seeing SW IV, V, VI repeated all over again, I saw them the first time.

I like the new plotline, it's totally unexpected, it actually breaths life into what had become stale.

I grew up with Star Wars. I was the real thing. I am telling you, the best thing they could have done was leave it with Return of the Jedi and produce original content. Stop fucking with it already.

I grew up with Star Wars, but I have no interest in the same old same old being done over and over again. Where I thought they were going with JJ Abrams, actually made me lose interest, where this new director is taking it, whole new Star Wars, that might actually be worth seeing.

If you have a Star Wars fetish, and you just want them to play with the same action figures in the exact same plot all over again, then you probably wont like it, the only way to breath some life back into it, was to break out of the fanboi fetish, which, if the fanbois are complaining, then sounds like it could be worth seeing after all.

It's like I just watched that "Logan" movie, and I didn't know what the deal was, I thought it was the sequel to the Wolverine movie, but that went in a completely different direction, and it was actually quite good.

I grew up with the X-Men too, and I was a Wolverine kid, Wolverine was what the X-Men was all about, but that was the best Wolverine evah, I'm old now, and so is Wolverine, quite clever actually.

So, Luke Skywalker is old now too? And just like Logan, it has changed him profoundly? Sounds good, I guess I must be the target market this new director is trying to rope back in.

I'm not the same kid I was in 1977, and neither is Luke Skywalker? Bring it on.

Finish that old generation, finish that old galaxy, I am all for it. Put that generation to bed if not for practical reasons ,hell they one person they let live is going to have to be killed off in some kind of way within the first 5 mins of the next movie. I thought there was plenty of fan service. Yoda bitch! What more do you want?
