The left always eats their own. Always.
Isn't that what the Mooch said Bannon was doing? The Right is having an "eat your own" banquet right now too. It what extremists of both wings do. I get nearly as disgusted with the left, I just read a justification for replacing traffic cops with stop signs and speed humps every fucking block because cops ticket minorities more. Big government? No, this dude wants anarchy!
More like a purge from the GOP.
I think it's silly to use the word "right" in that context. The "right" just means everybody who is not a degenerate marxist nowadays. If Milo Yiannapolous and Jordan Peterson are "right wing" now, then it means nothing.
Personally, I don't think there are many people who are truly right wing in our nation any longer. Especially not any of the neocons. Those guys are liberals.
We need to stop using the terms conservative and liberal - its statists vs liberals.
A growing number of people are reactionaries, though. Even that paradigm doesn't fit what is happening.
I predict a sizable number of people will want to reestablish the status quo ante within a few years.
All this other nonsense is used to distract people. It's not about capitalism versus socialism, or statism versus liberalism, or left versus right or any of that crap. You have a large number of people who want to destroy western civilization and everybody else is being lumped into the "right wing" category. They don't really share much in common other than not wanting to see our civilization in ruins.
But amongst them, I can well see a growing demographic of reactionaries who want to turn the clock back. You can see it in the alt-right, for instance, but you can also see it in just normal Americans.
This might seem crazy, but I think the next group are going to be a large number of women who finally realize the promises of feminism are impossible. Women in general have become quite unhappy as the decades march onward. Nor do they much like being treated like men or expected to perform like men in the workforce. I think you are going to see a pretty big movement there back towards traditionalism (which by definition would be a reactionary movement).

Is there a place where you already see this happening?

Mainly on the alt-right and the so-called alt-light.
Women are starting to become disenchanted in general. It's difficult to keep up the lie for long that they can have it all. They have to choose between motherhood and career, and choosing career makes most of them unhappy as hell.
Jordan Peterson is talking about it, and this video made some rounds already:
NeoCon is a made up word by GOP Progressives. Primary tenants in Progressivism are Liberating the Oppressed and Nation Building. McCain is all about this.
Moreover, the wars for which McCain was such an ardent proponent were just wars, wars aimed at liberating oppressed peoples from the brutal conditions under which they lived and of “protecting Americans.”
NeoCons = Progressives
While they have slightly different domestic policy, their foreign policy is a spot on match.
Neocons were mainly disillusioned leftists, who before were quite leftists (that's why the name neo). That's why I really hate them.
Old school conservatives are totally different.
McCain had some neocon advisors when a presidential candidate, that's true, but he wasn't part of the small cabal of neocons that took over the Dubya administration. And likely not a socialist back in his early years... even if he spent much time in North Vietnam.

Neocons are corrupt crooks who pretend to be conservatives so they can get elected in red districts.....the GOP in general sucks donkey ballz, and needs to be gutted....same with the DNC.....although the DNC is doing a pretty good job of gutting itself at this point in time.

The long term damage to the country he has wrought is unforgivable. Did he really think he was "doing the right thing?" Or is he really just a hack at heart?
You hate Ronald Reagan too?
I thought you guys were right-wingers. But perhaps I've got that wrong.
Reagan was a statist and a globalist
No man's life, liberty, or property are safe while the legislature is in session

There's nothing new about it. The neocons invaded the GOP in the 1970s and 1980s. They came from the democratic party. I imagine they will go back to it as well.
They hopped over because their electorates turned red. They will give lip service to whatever their electorate wants, and then cave into the democratic party. I am surprised their racket lasted this long.

+1
I'm not that big on Old School Conservatives either............... Classic Liberalism is the goal, results in personal Liberty
