NO. You do not give away your human rights when you work for the government.

To vote for someone, or to picket for someone isn't a human right.Speaker to Animals wrote:NO. You do not give away your human rights when you work for the government.

You work for the government you give away some rights, the same with the military, the same with government employment. All your emails are stored, even the ones you are supposedly deleted, your life is exposed to them, especially if you have to go through a clearance check. Your background is combed through in some cases very uncomfortably.
You give up rights of freedom of political expression working for the government.
The Hatch Act is NOT a complete restriction on ANY political activity/expression by ANY federal employee, no matter what they're doing.
Read what it specifically entails.

It is written vague enough that it can be construed exactly as I stated... the fact is that they themselves said it was inadvertently breached means I am on more solid footing than the rest of you.Kazmyr wrote:The Conservative wrote:

So do you, a human right is not dictated by a piece of paper, it is dictated by morality and ethics. Do you have the right to live, yes, that is a human right. Do you have a right to breed, yes, that is a human right.Speaker to Animals wrote:The Conservative wrote:To vote for someone, or to picket for someone isn't a human right.Speaker to Animals wrote:NO. Do you have a right to protest, no, that is a constitutional right, written by man. That is a man-made right.
The difference is that a human, as well as a constitutional right, is thin, either can be taken away from you if you let it, but one by laws, one by force of another through domination.

I didn't say they were dictated by a piece of paper.
People have a human right to free assembly. The right to the freedom of thought and the freedom of expression.
It doesn't matter who you work for.

You are confusing constitutional rights with natural freedoms.Speaker to Animals wrote:I didn't say they were dictated by a piece of paper.

No. The Bill of Rights only recognizes pre-existing human rights. Note the language. It only affirms these rights. It doesn't create them.
You are fucking nuts.

Again, if it was true, then all of the World would be the same way... since it's not, I have to disagree with you.Speaker to Animals wrote:The Conservative wrote:You are confusing constitutional rights with natural freedoms.Speaker to Animals wrote:I didn't say they were dictated by a piece of paper.
