Stephen Colbert picks more low hanging fruit with his jokes than the illegal immigrants he likes so much. I never thought that guy was funny. He turned into even more of a hack when he got his shitty little tonight show.

Its really easy to make fun of Bill Oreilly. The guy was a clown as are all of the Fox people, but people in my generation mindlessly repeat shit like "Reality has a liberal bias," and other Colbertisms as relexively as the 80 year old trailer park republican who takes the Hannity Hour as gospel. Millenials are just as stupid and misinformed as the Boomers, and they think because they watch the Last Week with John Oliver or a fucking thirty minute Vice documentary they somehow understand the situation in Puerto Rico or the Debt Ceiling. I hate that smug shit. Reddit is infested with these trisomy typers. There are like 30 different anti Trump subreddits that always make the front page mindlessly reposting and agreeing with whatever dog shit they heard on CNN. There's nothing wrong with disagreeing with Republicans and conservative people and there are many brilliant liberals who offer new perspectives on things. But being a smug faggot in the style of Oliver,and Colbert is just as off putting and intellectually sinful as anything Bill Oreilly ever did. John Stewart kind of pointed this out after Trump won. I don't agree with him and his show was the same way, but he had enough self awareness to recognize that he missed the mark in 2016.

I understand that this is probably widespread. I'm sure both Republicans and Democrats coordinate things with television personalities all the time. However, I have trouble taking someone on either side of the political aisle seriously if they are literally getting told what to do by politicians. Politics is for politicians, journalism and entertainment are for journalists and entertainers. Maybe thats naive of me idk.
