Call Venezuela whatever you want, Social Republic, Bolivarian Socialism, Chavismo Communism, doesn't matter. They practice the type totalitarianism commonly found in States that used Marxism as a building block. We see it time and time again. I don't think I need to list those.

Venezuela is doing exactly what commies do, they control the food, the people have eaten all the pets, most the zoo animals, next up collective farms................. for the people ya know.

On another note. I did see some reports that Venezuelans were caught mailing guns from the US. So, at least someone is trying down there.

That can be said for laissez-faire free market capitalism too. Only it is the 1% doing it. It looks to me that the primary cause of all this misery is the destruction of the rule law, and the creation of unchecked power in a small group or an individual.

I keep saying, it's about power & control. If you're a loser under the old rules, change the rules. Doesn't make ANY difference what the rules are.
