Trust me, I am still trying to deprogram myself from my blue county government school days. It's a damn mindfuck. If they're smart enough to be on here, they at least deserve our pity. Until the final hour of course. :twisted:
Unless of course you are of the poisoned. Then you will be screaming murder.
Actually, I live in an area with lead problems. I bought a reverse osmosis kit. It's amazing what you can accomplish when you focus on solving problems instead of bitching.

The Federal government, with all its power and resources, did nothing to solve this problem during 8 years of the Obama administration. The evidence shows that big governments do not care about you, and may even help to fuck you over. Stop being a child and expecting other people to solve your problems.
I live where this is no lead poisoning. I also that the problem is mainly with the poor, especially children, who have the least problem to solve their problem.

Anyways, the water you are drinking probably comes from water systems built by the government. If they hadn't you would not water to use reverse osmosis on. And the reason that the problem is not being solved is regulatory capture, and flat out corruption, not anything inherent to a government. So maybe, just maybe we should focus on getting out the motherf*****s who have taking over the system, rather letting the world choke, rather than hiding.

True, some people spend aalll the time saying it's all the gubmint's fault, like it's Cthulhu, but the military, or the police, or corporations are God's Angels on Earth or something.

Please. Businesses, or governments, or unions, or guns,or public schools, or religion, are not born baaad. They become that way by who's using them.

The very nature of government is corruption. That's why socialism always fails without exception. Well except for Iceland but those fags are surprisingly incorruptible.

No, it is not unless you are saying everybody is corrupt? There has to be a system of governance but it is up to us to keep it honest.

We have arguably the best one and look at how corrupt it is. And you want socialism. In the Venezuelan thread. You best start beleiving in Communist Propoganda threads, because you're in one.

Government = Violence

Violence is the state's only stock in trade.

That is axiomatic, and no one here or anywhere can show otherwise.

That is not an argument that the state is never needed, but just an observation of an axiomatic truth. If anyone has a counterfactual, I'd be thrilled to hear it.

Pretty much every country South of Texas has had at times centuries of truly awful government including Venezuela. If you want a poster child of corrupt fucked up countries put anyone from Mexico, Central and South America on it. So I would not use Venezuela as an excuse.
