4 point today was 128 lbs field dressed. Not bad; broke the seal on the freezer at least.

Just chillin in various treehouses, ground blinds, and slipping around the woods next door to KY Lake. I've been seeing Big Papi on the game camera a good bit, but still only at night so far. The rut's just getting started up, though. Weird weather and the season started early, what with Black Friday coming so early this year on the 23rd and all.

I did catch that 4pt slipping around Sunday morning though, so not a bad start to the season. I'm heading to the lake again this evening for the duration of black friday hostilities.

Speaking of weird weather, I see that you greasers down in Houston got some November snow like we did last week. End times for climate deniers, eh?

How's it going for meat over on the left coast, Carlus?

Our black powder ended last Friday, and regular gun whitetail opened up on Saturday; so I had the trusty Ruger M77 .270 loaded with Fife's crazy homebrew Nosler partition. I also had my Super Blackhawk in the shoulder holster as usual for gun season, but this old boy was about 50 yards out. I'll get out the old Ruger No. 1 .270 for Thanksgiving day.

Cool
Are you having a side dish of Tenderloin on the Thanksgiving table ?

I love the .270. The M1 Garand was originally chambered in .270, and now the US military's 21st standard issue rifle is going to be a 6.5mm, which is just a tad smaller.

Thursday evening we'll have some venison jerky with brews while cooking; and venison stew on friday. We're just finishing up the jerky and frozen venison from last season. Gotta get the deep fryer out for the turkey from this past Spring on Thursday evening. My good excuse for leaving out today on Tuesday is to be sure that fat boid is thawed completely before getting dunked on Thursday.

I'm pretty big on having wild game at Thanksgiving. We do the Turkey, but we'll have some other wild game too, deer, elk, trout, whatever. For me its a nod to the pilgrims.

We haven't had any snow or even a freeze yet. We get snow about once a decade and got a couple inches last year so my Hope's arent high for any this year. When it snows here the entire city shuts down. Or overpasses arent designed for freezing weather.

The phrase "worse than" implies both a moral judgment and one of disapproval of humanity itself. I think the vegan is projecting his own problems onto normal people who eat a proper diet.

I do not place moral judgments upon animals outside of perhaps jokes, and I certainly do not hold contempt and implicit hate for our species. In fact, I am rather proud of us atomic primates.

But JD has shown exactly that for humanity. Indeed, most of his type constantly express hatred towards our species. They co-opted environmentalism from nationalists to use it as a vehicle to demand population reductions through evil and tyrannical laws. They demand we not be allowed to eat a natural human diet. Think about that. If a zoo decided to feed lions what the elephants eat, the state would protect the animals from what would rightly be called abuse. Even JD's type would protest the abuse, and yet they want to do exactly that to humans. He is projecting.
You have claimed in the past that animals cannot reason and therefore it’s ok to use them for our needs, therefore you are implicitly saying they are inferior as beings of moral consideration. Never mind that animals display practical reasoning skills on a near-constant basis, it’s almost incredible that one could claim otherwise.
No projection there, unless it’s me rolling back the clip in slow motion for the win.

Maybe you have a new rationalization for abusing animals. Oh, I see, we’re all animals now, cool, that makes sense, we part of nature and shiet. Oh wait, we have laws against murder, and animal welfare laws in the books already, guess humans as animals doesn’t mean ethics doesn’t apply after all. Why would it anyway, even from a purely evolutionary perspective? Ethics exists in evolution because it emerged from the process of evolution. You can’t escape it by claiming you’re just a primate.

You say lions eat meat, so? You think I like it? But Im not here to reason with a lion, they don’t have your wealth of options or your circumstance, and it’s that which dictates the ethics of any given action. I’m saying you, in your circumstance and people like you have not much in the way of an excuse to kill things that feel subjectively. You do it mainly for the feels, so you are in essence feeding off the suffering of other creatures without necessity.

Don’t give me the same old lies about veganism not working nutritionally, absolute discredited bullshit, watch vegan gains if you’re a skeptic, or look at vegan boxers and vegan mma fighters. Don’t be a meat bitch, better yourself brah.

Every species is lower on the evolutionary ladder than us. It's a fact. IDK what point JohnDon is trying to make other than to try and show how much higher up on the ladder he thinks he is because he doesn't eat meat.
Alright, suppose Ghengis khan is ass raping you, do you have no other reaction other than he’s higher on some natural ladder than yourself? Man what a shit world we’d still live in we took your ethical values to heart.
