'Leftist Fight Club' trains UCF students to fight Republicans

The “Knights for Socialism” group at the University of Central Florida (UCF) held a workshop Sunday to teach left-wing students how to “BASH THE FASH” with a “Leftist Fight Club” open to everyone but Republicans.

“In response to the record number of hate crimes against Latinxs, Immigrants, Muslims, Women, the LGBTQIA+ community, Jews, African Americans and other minorities since the rise of Donald Trump and other Alt-Right Neo-Nazis, Knights for Socialism has decided to host a series of self-defense clinics for anyone that wants to learn how to BASH THE FASH,” asserts the Facebook event page for “Leftist Fight Club: The Rumbles at Lake Claire.”

The description explains that a local amateur boxer was on hand to teach basic hand-to-hand combat techniques at the self-defense clinic, in order to help the socialist students better protect themselves from potential hate crimes performed by those sympathetic to “Donald Trump and other Alt-Right Neo-Nazis.”

Oh my. We really are going off the deep end...

Knights for Socialism? I guess they don't see the irony in using that term for themselves...

That they want to learn how to fight is a good thing in of itself. Good thing for anyone to learn. But their motive for doing so, the assumption of theirs that everyone to the right of an average Democrat is "out to get them", beat them (with flagpoles?) because "The" Right is all made up of Nazis....?

Just another example of a culture of paranoia, strawmanning and blowing differences out of proportion. It apparantly takes very little political difference of opinion to become "The Evil Bad Guys" these days.

One essay, by Berkeley student Josh Hardman, celebrates the “plurality of tactics,” including violence, that suppressed Milo’s speech. Castigating the Berkeley administration for allowing the Berkeley College Republicans their “racist, xenophobic, sexist extravaganza” in the first place, Hardman argues that the right free speech does not include “hate speech.” He adds that violence in the service of shutting down violence may not really deserve to be classified as “violence” at all: “I urge you to consider whether damaging the windows of places like banks and the Amazon student store constitutes ‘violence’,” he writes.

Lest any readers object to the viewpoints above, Berkeley alumna Nisa Dang warns them to “check” their “privilege.” She argues that “no protest is nonviolent.” Students were “compelled” to protest violently, she says, because Milo’s words make students feel unsafe, and therefore call for pre-emptive action: “If I know that you are planning to attack me, I’ll do all I can to throw the first punch.” Adding that “police are violent agents of the state,” she claims that their very presence — limited as it was at the Milo event — “creates an atmosphere that perpetuates violence on community members.” She then mocks Milo for not facing whatever violence the rioters had in store — “To Milo: I’m sorry that you were too scared to stand your ground” — and hints that he ought to be murdered by those who survived genocides by “killing Nazis and people just like them.”

There are some very, very positive things that have come out of this election.

This election, and Trumps first couple of weeks have really woken up the Left and made them question their government. These folks are the same types of folks that built the OWS Yugo car wreck. Back then I called them out for going after private business and they should have been protesting Congress for creating laws that allow Business to do what they do.

While they are still picking out individuals to attack, like Milo and McInnes, they are at least doing it because they don't like where the government is going. I am hoping that at some point they use their energies against the power of the central government. We saw a little of it with the Irritated Vagina March.

It's not that they are doing it because they don't like where the government is going, they are doing it because they don't believe Trump should be president, and they lost the ability to have power.

The government is the product of their party's beliefs, now that they lost said power to the another party they are angry that the other party is using the power they allowed the last president and congress to have to their whims... so instead of saying, "live with it" they have to live with it, and they don't like it.

If anything, Trump is making them question their government, and in turn doing what he promised, which is forcing the power back to the people...
