GrumpyCatFace has this odd tendency to think that if some form of technology doesn't solve every problem imaginable, all on it's own, without aid of other forms of technology, then it has become obsolete. He will spend pages arguing that position if he can see any loophole that gets around a certain technological fix. It's mind numbingly tedious to read and debate with when he gets in that head space, but that doesn't stop him from getting dragged into those weeds fairly often.

Re: Trump's Economic Plan
Average cost of ground penetrating radar coverage per mile x 2,000 mile border = Holy fuckton more than $10 billion wall.
But if successful, will get more Americans recruited to do field work that won't support their families, and they don't want to do anyway.
I don't see what can go wrong here.

That's because you are deliberately making sure that you keep a false image fixed in your head to avoid seeing the truth. We're only trying to help you. You'll never win like that.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Average cost of ground penetrating radar coverage per mile x 2,000 mile border = Holy fuckton more than $10 billion wall.

Cheap Mexicans are a stagnating force on agricultural technology, no different than slavery was.

Win at what exactly? Getting Americans into the fields to pick tomatoes? Raising grocery prices? Starving Mexicans?Okeefenokee wrote:That's because you are deliberately making sure that you keep a false image fixed in your head to avoid seeing the truth. We're only trying to help you. I mean, depending on how we define the goal, it could be a huge win.

If tariffs are so bad, then shouldn't your cartoon also show an image of China on the ground next to him since they have effectively tariffed and limited US imports for years now?
Weird how it's only bad when we do it. Reminds me of Mexico's immigration policy..

China doesn't use excessive tariffs. They use currency manipulation to game the system.Speaker to Animals wrote:apeman wrote:

And yeah, they're on the ground as well, looking more like an industrial wasteland every day.
