The great thing about American that I salute is the honorable way the veterans after the war respected each other and how the US could heal those wounds after the Civil War. Seldom does the winning side show such respect for the losing side. All of the present hatred is something that seems to have come actually later, basically from the 60's. Long gone were the days of the actual Civil War.
