I just spent 8 years watching idiots screaming and wailing over a Socialist, Fascist, Kenyan dictator who's dying to seize their guns and send their grandparents to Death Panels.
I can't completely divorce myself from this place - I like reading what some people write well enough to keep me lurking, at least. I'm just really focusing on putting my opinions out there on the other forum. I've already been accused of voting for Trump & Clinton, so I'm doing something right.
There's only like 5 people I can talk to here, and I need to discuss this stuff online with people who are more reasonable; mostly for Nerd's sanity. If I can't vent online - he gets the brunt of it. I can not talk politics with any of my friends. Some think I'm in the bag for Trump and some think I'm a loony lefty. 'Cause, a majority of this country cheers for one team or the other, so the natural assumption is that everyone is one side or the other.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. I'm seen as a radical conservative in the city, and a lefty-weirdo, in the sticks. This place is definitely entertaining, but it's more important to me as a relief valve from daily insanity.
