Meh, nobody even cares about Johnny Burns, it's not like he's hated, Leaf fans are hating the Leafs right now, nobody is blaming the other teams, it's all about the lazy entitled Loafs playing like they don't have to show up cause there's no chance anybody in the Atlantic can catch them.
I wish somebody in the Atlantic would catch them, but no sign any of those teams are going anywhere, which is the whole problem.

It's weird, never seen anything like it, the Leafs are throwing points away with abandon, but it's not making any difference, because the entire rest of the division is tanking, all through this slump, not one of those teams has made any headway on the Leafs whatsoever.
Detroit is the closest, still thirteen points back, haven't moved up at all, Florida nor the Habs neither.

Atlantic so shit. The Central on the other hand doesn't have a single team with a negative goal differential.Smitty-48 wrote:It's weird, never seen anything like it, the Leafs are throwing points away with abandon, but it's not making any difference, because the entire rest of the division is tanking, all through this slump, not one of those teams has made any headway on the Leafs whatsoever.

It ain't what you take, it's who you're takin it from, you feel me?
How do you expect to run with the wolves come night when you spend all day sparring with the puppies?

Well, assuming the Leafs don't just completely spiral down to the bottom, I think they would show up for the playoffs, their bad habits and lack of defence would be their undoing, but that would be the case even if they were playing hard.
The season is kind of a write off either way, they're not good enough to win anything, but not bad enough to get bounced out in the Atlantic, so kind of a wash in the end, the main complaint is that they're just not entertaining, it's not even like Leaf fans are enraged, more like just bored.

Babcock is basically just wasting our time, he's trying to get a team to be something it's not and never going to be, whatever team it is that ends up playing the way Babcock wants, is going to have to be a very different team, structurally, so if they're not making a trade, then they're pretty much just marking time right now, in the meantime tho, Babcock has coached them from being a fun and entertaining flawed team, into being a mediocre and boring flawed team.

What channel is that on? All I'm seeing is Boston and NJD right now.

Not that it's gonna help the defensive problems, but Babs finally cracked and scrambled the lines today at practice;
Hyman-Matthews-Nylander
Marleau-Kadri-Marner
JVR-Bozak-Brown
Komarov-Moore-Kapanen
Martin scratched, Goat back to the Marlies.
Deck chairs on the titanic really, but at least they're feeling the heat.

The sports radio jocks in Nashvegas turned [edit:} from doom and gloom to sunshine and cup talk overnight on Ryan Hartman. Fans and talking heads are fickle; hopefully the joy will continue.
Josi had that puck on a wire, 5 assists, saving the best for last.
I don't know much on fundamentals/skills, but Hartman's interview after the game describing how he had to get weight on his stick and get his knee on the ground quick made a lot of sense, especially seeing the play in slo-mo.
Preds-Jets would be a hell of series in the playoffs.
