VW Bug body mounted on a Porsche chassis? Some did just that. I've told it was a blast to out accelerate at a red light some muscle car with what looks like some asthmatic Volkswagen.

An engine swap would be simpler, but yeah, folks do that.

If I ever swap out those engines, I would also want the brakes too. Unless the brakes are good enough??

I have no idea on rear mounted air aspirated motors. Sounds correct. Also he would need a radiator.
