Seriously: Thank you for that. A vastly more reasonable stance on the matter than: "Only anti-Trumpers believe that Russia tries to influence US politics and Americans, and I am for Trump, ergo Russia cannot possibly have tried or be trying to influence the US". There are way, way too many people today who feel absurdly threatened by (admitting to) certain facts, because they have convinced themselves that admitting to fact A means you must support person or ideology 1, or belong to group X or Y. Most people here recognized the stupidity and irrationality of guilt by association-thinking during the "all those who vote for Trump or Brexit are racists", and other smaller discussions over the years on the DCF.

I'm still not sold on the "facts" because of the democrat campaign and all their absurdity in collusion with media outlets but I'm starting to come around to the fact that for whatever reason Putin is actually a big deal with neo-nationalists. I'm still trying to piece that "fact" together and I have to admit it looks like Russian influence.

Its way more likely that the Trucknut Conservatives employ those linguistically challenged fellows from south of the border because they're cheap.

Texas has pride and it has an ego, but there isn't a Texas city that didn't throw a parade when Walmart came to town (and if you have a Sams Club within driving distance you own prime real estate.) We like it big cheap and full of gasoline or beef, and we do not care where it comes from.

Edit: Whatsmore, none of those cities except San Antonio, has much in the way of housing in the city limits to be a sanctuary. Houston is the size of a small fucking state. Its way easier for illegals to go live in Tomball or Taylor or Bastrop.
