No official word on caliber yet. The initial proposal request was 45, but rumor has it they will stick with 9mm. So here comes that argument again. The Sig is quality stuff. But they need to avoid the same problem Baretta had with the 92. They sped up their manufacture to meet the contract delivery, and their first lot were shit.

I've never fired the 320, but I'm going to go take a peak at them. Looks like an improvement though.

Hell Smitty, you know how it goes. One service wants show others up by being different, saying their shit is better. Probably not enough appreciable difference between the Glock and the Sig to make up for the loss of standardization. The Army chose the Baretta when it was the hot new kid on the block too.
