Pretty much sums up my experience. Sure, there were a few good ones now and then, but mostly I spent most of my time either fixing their stuff or explaining what they did wrong. Numerous times I would get dragged into things after days of them trying to figure something out, and I'd either have it fixed or be telling them how to fix it in under an hour (usually far less).

My favorite simple example is still the "India Tech" graduate, supposedly "top of the class", who edited an XML file (I'll use parens just so it doesn't get eaten):

In his great wisdom and "top of class" education, to set the password to "AbC123xYz" became:

(AbC123xYz)CHANGEME(/password)

Apparently that's what 4 years of India Tech got you in 2003.
(He BTW had no idea why it wasn't working, or what the error messages that pointed me right to it in under a minute actually meant).

When you add all this shit up.. I realize we need to get used to the dark age as western civilization continues to die, and our technological capacity continues to decline as white men in their thirties and forties become more scarce while nonwhites proliferate and colonize, but certain behavior really requires a Heinleinian solution.

This sick fucking mentality where money is all that matters, and leaders must chase margins even to the point of risking human life and the destruction of their own people.. that shit really deserves death. There is no more high trust society left. We no longer have communities. We no longer have a sense of duty to our nation (which open immigration has already destroted). You have to police this kind of dangerous behavior with harsh penalties.
