America just got greater. If Trump really wants to stand out, he needs to beat Obama's deportation record. Obama got rid of 5 million illegals which is the only thing he did that I was in strong support of. Trump needs to deport at least twice that much for him to earn a Nobel Peace Prize of his own. It won't be easy, but nothing worthwhile ever is.

Yeah, Obama might have just kept deporting the same people multiple times. The numbers could be fudged, just like every other number the govt puts forward. Its interesting though, because if anything, it seems like Obama would want to under-report the number of deportations to avoid pissing off his base. I remember years ago when he was still in office I read a few articles from very leftwing publications criticizing him for his "cruelty" in the mass deportations.

Who knows. Since illegals tend to avoid registering for shit and I guess they try to live off the grid, its hard to determine how many there even are in this country, much less how successful we are in removing them. I'm not sure how you'd accurately even measure the degree of progress we are making in that department.

The caravan thing was a decent start. Its a public and vocal signal that our current president is not cool with this bullshit. I was talking with someone at work who was arguing that we could easily feed, house etc the entire caravan in the US. I told them it wasn't just this caravan. If Trump caves on this, he essentially gives the green light for everyone south of the Rio Grande to migrate to the US. Its not just this caravan. Its the next 1000 caravans. It would be Merkel 2.0.

Overall, I am happy with Trump's performance on this front. I hope he keeps it up.
