Oh there's conflict in act one, the enemy is there, the enemy knows where the Godhead is, so he is waiting for them, with a poison apple. Their first conflict, is with the snake.

The Godhead is not alone when they encounter it, they encounter it, in the tall grass. Some of them make it back out of the tall grass, some of them don't, some of them take the poison apple, and are lost to the enemy. Those characters then become nemesis.

You just can't help it can you, Smitty? You act all 'I just want to make money and live good,' but deep down, you are one artsy-fartsy sap with the soul of a poet.

If you want an academy award for a right wing space drama, good luck. It will be a fine film, but there ain't a chance in hell it will find too much purchase. Subtlety in story telling is for fags.

Well there is a bit of a horror aspect, when the Prince of Darkness is on stage, but that doesn't there's no FX, it's just a little more in the John Carpenter zone at first, Diabolus ex machina.

It's got a bit of everything, it's biblical, you have your horror aspects in the biblical as well, the Prince of Darkness is scary, menacing of course, but he is certainly is capable of busting out some FX, he simply does so by proxy, he turns your own against you, your kin become nemesis, and then you'd better run, because you haven't become the Christian soldiers quite yet, you're not ready to go at this head to head, in act one.

Plus, if you go this route, you can use mostly practical effects, and ditch all the absurd CG, cartoon crap.

The film nerds will love that one. But, again, you aren't really selling me a blockbuster to replace SW here.

It's the Anti-Star Wars, the Star Wars for people who don't like Star Wars, it will as a result be quite a bit darker and more ominous than Star Wars. Still plenty of FX tho, again, not throwing Boba Fett under the bus, there's plenty of kick ass space knight shit in play, simply more Templar than Stormtrooper, and it's going to be much more than just body armour which can be shot down with a gun, again, enough hard SF to give it some gravitas, the space armour of the distant future, will be some seriously capable kit, more of a self contained man sized artificially intelligent space weapon, than simply a hard plastic suit. You don't fly the X-wing fighter, you wear it, and the R2D2 co-pilot, is built right in.

The problem with Star Wars technology, is that while it might look cool, it doesn't do anything cool, it's actually rather low tech, basically just a costume, in the Anti-Star Wars, the tech is actually high tech, in hard SF, Boba Fett would be much more than just a dude in suit with a jet pack.
