Lately there's a thought I just can't get out of my head...

You guys know, or know of, "The Aristocrats"-joke? I just can't shake the mental image of SJW's being that joke.

In the sense that they tend to uncritically view anything transgressive, anything *cough* "non-normative", anything that goes against tradition and current cultural ideals as "progress". Like bored aristocrats, who regard themselves as above or outside society, and who therefore disregard the values, morals, traditions and culture of their society around them as an oppressive hindrance, or "primitive" if they hold the linear view of history most progressives do. They push the boundary further and further, and they finally to the public declare what they really are: Aristocrats.
