Re: Social Justice Warriors Thread
At the end of the day, you CANNOT have equality before the law, and therefore no true gender equality, under any guise of Marxism, including feminism which is a branch of critical theory (which is cultural marxism). Everything breaks down into oppressor and oppressed classes. Once you internalize that paradigm -- and you apparently have -- how can you argue that the "oppressors" should be treated equally before the law to their oppressed victims?

Also, with respect to women being "different" in terms of physical capabilities, while men will always have huge advantages due to testosterone, muscle fibers, and stronger bones, women in our society are extremely weak compared to where they should be by choice. We encourage young girls to never do hard labor in this society. We tell them that they need to be princesses (aristocratic women didn't do manual labor). None of the labor-intensive careers have any large numbers of women -- at all.
I see what women can become all the time. Just go to a gym. I shit you not, women are supposed to be quite a lot stronger than you think.
It doesn't help when all you guys feel threatened and signal that you would never date a "strong woman" either. It just tells them that their options in life will be restricted arbitrarily if they do hard work.
For most of human history, throughout the paleolithic, women walked by our sides. Stop princessing them. They are capable of so much more than this.

You sound like a marxist.

I played semi-pro football. I lived at the gym for 10 years. Bet you $100 to $1 my power clean destroys yours.
(Kids tho, use home gym stuff now)
I have issue with a “strong” woman.
My wife is petite but I would never put up with a wife that couldn’t pull weight.

I guess this means anarchists are first wave communists.
You know, since we're ignoring past distinctions, and lumping everyone into whatever group fits the current landscape.

The problem is you jump the shark when you require absolute support on everything.Speaker to Animals wrote:Okay, Nick. Have a great night, I guess.
I can hate 3rd wave feminism, and disagree with you about its history.
There is no oppressor/oppressed mentality I me. I barely see classes at all. Certainly not with respect to innate things such as race and gender. Mental choices such as ideology and religion being something different entirely.

Yes I suppose suffragettes may have been influenced by socialists as I had already suspected.nmoore63 wrote:So you disagree with dsl then. 1st wave are feminists?TheReal_ND wrote:Ah. Admit to learning something and evolving opinion.
