I mean.. I can see where TC is coming from here on second thought. Due to its significantly lower weight, the AR15 is much less likely to fall through the flimsy ceiling tiles when you hide it up there in your workplace.

Anyway, nuke, I dig Keltec the most. I think it is a very handy .223 that would be really easy to travel with in a pinch. It's not my main .223 weapon, but its great to have around. Plus, I don't really care for AR15s. I've got one but it's not my go-to .223. They are more for the YETI cooler fags. (and those Yeti mic fags )
Oh also, don't you have a Glock 9mm? Ammo is the NUMERO UNO thing to consider when thinking of SHTF guns. One of my very favorite guns is my SUB-2000. Fucking fun as shit to shoot. Mine is Gen 1, and I see some bad reviews of the Gen 2, but I haven't shot one of the new ones. Having a back-up gun that is a blast to shoot that uses your base pistol ammo is a solid plan IMNSHO.
I don't really store 9mm like I do other stuff. I have one 9mm pistol and don't carry it. I can reload 9mm but don't normally and don't keep many bullets or primers on hand for it. But that damn SUB-2000 is fun as shit!

Not being a gun nut m’self, I’d expect to find a lot more 9mm than anything in SHTF. And shotgun shells.

I suspect it's highly regional, though. Probably less shotgun shells in a city than 9mm, but if you go out into the countryside that inverts. I dunno, though. Just guessing.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2019 1:54 pmNot being a gun nut m’self, I’d expect to find a lot more 9mm than anything in SHTF. And shotgun shells.

12 gauge shells will be IRL money in the country. Thankfully they are really easy to reload and the supplies are a whole hell of a lot cheaper and easier to get and store than centerfire ammo.
Shotgun reloading is really relaxing, and blasting 200 field loads at clay pigeons in an afternoon doesn't give you any cost-related guilt.

Can a 9mm carbine even puncture a vest? It probably could but I want 30 caliber because armor is getting better. Then again, I don't really have room for one and it would have to live in a friend's safe or something.

I don't think I'd ever want to test body armor against something like .308.

I don’t think I’d want to wear armor all the time in a world without AC.

It punches holes in steel plates doesn't it? I was under the impression that they don't make body armor for large caliber rifle rounds.
Also, keep in mind wshtf will never happen. The people that need to be shot back at will be wearing armor. Then again, Trump could declare guns illegal and most magatards would rush to turn them in to "trigger the libs"
