What utter bullshit by JP, there. "When the left says".... uhmm... that's not what "the" left says here. Maybe in Sweden and maybe in the US and Canada, and maybe you guys just have a complete retardo definition of what egalitarianism means, but I doubt it. Egalitarianism is about equality of opportunity, equality isn't pretending everyone's the same and crafting laws to help perpeuate such an illusion. That's a dishonest mischaracterization of what egalitarianism is. If you have a kid with a high IQ, but with a family that is extremely poor and cannot afford a college education, the goal is to provide the same opportunity for the genius among the poor as the genius among the rich.
