don't do anything until you a) have seed money to play with, then b) have done your own research
haven't done the research

don't do anything it is

I'll stick to MMA gambling for now

I've done that research

and it's a proven cash cow for me
whatever you make on gambling, role that into the downpayment on a fully detached home

a savings account which you could live in for the rest of your days, is the first step on the ladder

if you have excess funds which you need to park somewhere, only then do you look at the equity markets

the first equity to acquire is the home, without that, you're a hobo forever
that's the plan

my brother did that

and that is paying off rather nicely

bear in mind, Millennials are now getting into bidding wars just to rent an apartment

the fully detached savings account which you can live in, is the escape route from the Millennial trap

What's wrong with being a hobo?
Bloody snobs. :snooty:
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

persuant to that, start preparing to live much further out in the GTA

average fully detached home price in Hamilton is $894,000

that will leave you house poor

so start planning to live further out, past where I am, like Stratford, or Mount Forest

Depends where the van's parked.

I'm bullish on Mount Forest, it's just up the road from here

right now it is still the old Townies, it's a bit of a trailer park socially

but the location itself is spectacular, and it's commutable to the 401

it's not quite affluent right now, but it will be in the future

it's undervalued at $324,000 average home price right now

speaking of that, there could be some contagion coming from the Chinese real estate bubble imminently

so if you are in the stock market right now, go defensive, prepare to short

a correction is actually overdue, and this is correction season, so stay frosty
