I've had the same conversations with my wife and kids. I tell them there are no 'Good Guys' in charge of either side.

The media indoctrination is strong. I've had to explain a lot of the complexities of what has been happening since the coup a decade ago (which we likely incited), the history of NATO advancing on Russia, and the historical pattern of places like Ukraine dissapearing when Russia is strong.
