I just downloaded the Kindle sample, which just became available today as well. Gonna hit that shit at lunchtime; download decision pending.
Well the whole sample was consumed by the foreword, but I'm interested. Give us a review, Mike.
will do within the next week or so
Gibs, Mike.

I'm ready to pull the trigger on the full download. On standby to get a copy for my daughter.

I want your take on it.

haha

I'm about halfway through it, reading a chapter every few days or so. This first few chapters were great, largely a re-tread of many things he's talked about in his discussions regarding the lobster, planning your life and setting your house in order. He includes many anecdotal stories and ties them into his archetypal themes about reasons for being, including more than a handful of biblical references.

The last chapter I read on children sort of burned me out, since I don't have kids, but the lessons he talked about still seemed pertinent. Spent last night reading the most recent arc of the Spawn comic book instead but I'll get back into Peterson soon.

If you've been listening to any of his lectures or hours long podcasts you'll be familiar with much of the material, as I am, but I'm still enjoying it. Good food for thought. I dunno if you would enjoy it but I imagine you would, there are a lot of truths to be found in his book I think

My take away is that we need to clean up the MHF and set our house in order before we start trying to solve the problems of the world

Thanks, man . . . I've gotten quite a few of his podcasts interviews in the last few weeks pubbing the book. I'm going to listen to him on Russ Roberts this afternoon, and I think I'll go ahead and throw him some shekels and get the download by later this week.

LOL, I'm pretty sure there are some around here about ready to implement Operation Hummingbird if only they could.

JP was on Russel Brand’s podcast the other day. Managed to raise my opinion of Russel. It’s like JP says, you should assume the person you’re talking know something you don’t. Both of them had that attitude which made for an entertaining talk.
