I actually have that. I heard that cleaning up the tackle with wd40 helps because fish like the smell. Like some fish get bait shy if they smell your skin oils on it. Especially if you're a smoker.Kazmyr wrote:Berkley Gulp soft plastics on a jighead.Nukedog wrote:What do you catch trout on? A lure?
I think live shrimp, too. (What Fife said)

Yeah, tobacco fucks fish off in a hurry. Same with sunscreen (if you use that). Never heard about the WD-40 though; interesting.Nukedog wrote:I actually have that. Gulp is a awesome though:
Basically, even when he was dragging a ball of Gulp around the bottom using a really crappy presentation (and no hook), fluke were still all over it. He had another one where he'd drop small Gulp grubs on the bottom and the Scup would go absolutely apeshit after it.

Well according to the old timer that told me that, the oil must mimic fish oil in smell to some degree. Idk. I should probably where gloves because I haven't managed to quit smoking yet.

Eh, I think you're probably fine. If you dipped, might be a different story.Nukedog wrote:Well according to the old timer that told me that, the oil must mimic fish oil in smell to some degree. Idk. I should probably where gloves because I haven't managed to quit smoking yet.

I got a vape and it helps but I just haven't had the will power to not go get a cigarette. I might need to try a higher nicotine concentrate.California wrote:Sometimes I miss cigs but holy shit you feel so much better without that poison in you

I must have quit 1,000 times before the last time. The last day I had any kind of tobacco product, I smoked 2 packs as usual. That was 2003 IIRC. It was hellacious getting over the hump for the last time.
I'm lucky they didn't have vapes back then. I would have never made it stick once and for all.

Two packs is crazy. I've never managed to get above a pack a day and I've been smoking for nearly twenty years. Started early tbh. Somehow I can still do seven minute miles though.

I started stealing squares from my grand-dad and my old man without them knowing when I was about 13. When I went off to college in 85 the price of a carton of squares was $10. That was when I started staying up all night and smoking like a chimney. From about 1986-2003 I was rolling up one or two cartons a week.Nukedog wrote:Two packs is crazy. I used to stop in the middle of about every meal to have a smoke.
Hell of a drug.

If it's so hard to quit, you'd be better off just vaping in secret. I'd understand not wanting people to see you looking like a massive faggot with one of those things, but at least you aren't ingesting all those carcinogens.
