I still have no idea what any of this has to do with legal or illegal immigration and the difference between them.

It's more effective to just hand-wave and declare Absolute Truths, than try to parse these little details, like the difference between "Immigration" and "Border Control", or "Random Arab" and "Terrorist". It's all too complicated for any human being to wrap their minds around and debate individually.

As I understand it, one of the main problems with the original order was that it didn't really discriminate between people with valid green cards and visas, and people without them. So, in that light, I guess I can see how this relates to immigration... but not in Trump's favor.

While I am thinking about it, I will also add that I expect the revised order to pass the court challenges it faces as is, or with minor adjustments, and that would be a great example of democracy functioning properly.

I am not a fan of legislation by executive order... it pissed me off when Obama was doing it, and it pisses me off when Trump does it; but if it is going to happen, this is how it should work. People exercising their right to assemble and protest an order they think is unjust, and then the courts putting said order under scrutiny to see if it is valid. Everyone doing exactly what they are supposed to do in a pluralist society.

I will say that if I, in some absurd alternate reality fluke, rode a popular wave to such a powerful office, I would ask some competent lawyers to vet my orders rather than ideologues.

Trump didn't come up with the list on which countries to ban, Obama did, Obama ran out of time to impose it, Trump put it forward and got flack for it. It's pretty simple really. The snowflakes are having an issue with it because they can't comprehend where the origination of the bill came from. They think it's "Evil Trump" when it was their saint Obama that started that wheel rolling.

Also, there is a difference between legal immigrants and illegal, if you can't figure out the difference between either, that is a bigger problem than if Trump passes an executive order or tries to get a law passed that his predecessor didn't have time to do himself.

Obama was moving slowly, probably too slowly, and carefully. Trump moved quickly, probably too quickly, and didn't have his orders vetted to ensure they could withstand legal challenges. I try not to spend a lot of time worrying about who are the saints and who are the sinners. As to your ability to divine the motives of opponents to Trumps orders... well, lacking that special 6th sense, I will have to remain agnostic.

Hating the left and calling them snowflakes is all good fun, but at the end of the day, this is still a constitutional democracy, and if you aren't capable of convincing the population that your ideas are good, or making sure that you orders are constitutional, then you aren't doing a very good job as the leader of a state organized the way ours is.

I don't hate the left, and I call anyone who gets their patines in a bunch because their life or views of life go sideways on them, and they can't cope, snowflakes, idiots, morons, or just downright stupid. You choose your adjatiave, it's effective either way.

As for what it has to do with legals or illegals, people protesting this entire thing is having a hard time distinguishing the difference between a legal green card/nationalized citizen and an illegal one. They are calling them immigrants, leaving the descriptive prefix off the word so people will feel sympathy. When in reality the people who are being removed are illegal, plain and simple.

I've just been supporting the OP by posting all the positive aspects of joining Islam.
Personally I'm not into Prepubescent children, but if that's your thing and you convert to Islam it could be a very liberating experience to no longer be alone, or having to feel dirty and ashamed the way Western Culture makes you if you are ass banging a 10 year old boy.
